Since 2012, the Climate Council has awarded the Climate Prize every year, and this year we have had the great honor of becoming one of the finalists.
The Climate Prize winner must in a meritorious way contribute to the Climate Council's vision or in another way contribute to the climate work in the county. The winner of the Climate Prize is nominated by the Climate Council and awarded by the Governor and the Climate Council's chair Helena Jonsson.
At Joma we are always working to reduce our impact on the environment and our environmental policy (which you can read here) states, among other things, that we must work for reduced resource utilization in terms of raw materials and energy.
Through solutions that benefit both the environment and our customers, it will be a win-win situation for everyone. :) One such project is our investment in solar energy together with battery storage of 100kW. The solution reduces our environmental impact at the same time as we can continue to serve our customers with deliveries in the event of a power outage, for example.
It is this initiative that we, together with Elajo, who has been the project manager, have been nominated for and are now finalists in the Climate Prize 2020.
On September 21 we will find out if we win, exciting! But no matter how it goes, the environment and our customers are the real winners.
