The network for masonry- and rendered buildings are happy to announce that
Energimyndigheten has granted support for the project "Energy and Resource-Effective Masonry Outer Walls".
The project is scheduled to last 3.5 years and is based on Lund University. The project is co-financed by Energimyndigheten and members of the network.
The aim of the project is to develop a new generation of energy efficient exterior walls through the development of new knowledge and technical solutions.
The project has the following objectives:
1. Load bearing walls of light clinker concrete, brick and lightweight concrete can be constructed with thicknesses down to 100 mm
2. The new exterior wall constructions will not be more resource-intensive or more expensive than other existing exterior wall constructions
3. Show that energy use can be reduced by 20-30% in newly built homes and premises constructed with the new type of exterior walls, with retained or reduced total wall thickness.
